Summer Challenges are week-long challenges for older students, teaching skills and processes for creating professional art.

The Summer Challenge is a week-long camp for grades 9-12, designed to introduce students to the processes professionals use to create comic books and manga pages. Each day will focus on a different aspect of comic book and manga creation, from the initial idea and how to develop it, to writing the script, character design, penciling, inking, coloring and lettering the pages, and finishes with the various options for publishing the work, either online or in print.

The Summer Challenge runs for five consecutive days, Monday through Friday. Skills learned in this course will help students create stronger art portfolios and give insight into the process of finding jobs in the comic book and manga industries.
